ubuntu/debian/maemo already benefit a lot from each others work.
obviously there is a lot of common interest.

but the point of this shared devroom is actually bridging the gap
between distros who do things very differently (sharing thoughts,
looking for ways to cooperate, etc).

so the topics are not "how can improve/do more with the tools we
have" (that would be joined ubuntu/maemo/debian/.. topics) but more
"what tools do we use, which do you use, which should we all use?" kind
of stuff. (where "tool" can also mean "process")

at least that's how i see it.
