From what I remember, we agreed that non GUI applications and server stuff is 
not our main focus, but we also said that nothing prevents from creating 
.desktop files for those in order to be able to have the same kind of metadata 
for them (with a special attribute in the .desktop so that they don't show up 
in the menu).
