FLATPAK must be the next GNOME package by default for every distro.

GNOME should also have a web page with all the major distros spinned
LiveISOs.

So a RedHat (RH) ... Ubuntu Gnome flatpak (GF)
                    ... Ubuntu LTS GF
                   ... Debian RR GF
                   --- Debian stable GF
                   --- Mint GF
                   ... LMDE GF

                   ... ARCH GF

                  --- Antergos GF
                  --- Manjaro GF

                  ... Gentoo GF
                  ... Sabayon GF

                 ... SUSE GF

                And of course FEDORA GF

                                 ... CENTOS GF

All as unstable the FLATPAK is now (think about Unity or MIR or even
Wayland and the time they are published but in beta or unstable)

And perhaps only some would use it, but you will have all the Linux press
and distro hoopers trying all of them.

I think your DNF is by far the best, because it uses delta packages (pacman
can but nobody uses it) and it had not marketing impact enough.

non pros despite its non delta package system

If you also have FLATPAK working, it will grow, and feedback will help you
a lot.

AUR have ton of issues,  and still is great for non official repo software
availability, much better than PPAs, as now yaourt works from FEDORA you
also can show how to install popular software from a PPA, and from AUR
using yaourt on FEDORA (or arch / antergos / manjaro)

Last but not least converting and testing AUR packages to flatpak and
making an (from AUR)  flatpak repository, also with GNOME packages and
other DE and WM metapackages with RH workart and tuned configs as i3,
fluxbox, JWM etc, is a work that it is relatively easy to do, and even that
can be programmed to e done almost in an automatic way (the AUR to flatpak
repository) that once done there will be no more battle, except Ubuntu
newbies that would have to install it by themselves or install one of your
forks.

PS: It is chromebooks the market leader, and the new Android container is
even more dangerous for the GNU/Linux desktop market share than this non
FOSS snap packages that only for not being FOSS they should not arrive to
many other distros.
