Are the plans to provide a fontconfig daemon that monitors the font
directories and updates the cache if any changes have been detected?
I can imagine that such a small tool would be beneficial for all
platforms.
For Gnome, `gnome-settings-daemon' seems to contain a module to
monitor fontconfig; I haven't found something similar for KDE.
