Summary: videotestsrc/encoder capsnego is weird
Product: GStreamer
Version: HEAD CVS
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: Normal
Component: gst-plugins-base
AssignedTo: wingo at pobox.com
ReportedBy: rbultje at ronald.bitfreak.net

gst-launch-0.9 videotestsrc ! ffenc_mpeg4 ! ffdec_mpeg4 ! ffmpegcolorspace !
xvimagesink -v
This should just work, similar to 0.8, where (if you specify a filtered caps for
framerate), it just works and displays video. However, in 0.9, it "fixates" (?)
to RGB video, whereas the encoder only supports I420.
Seems like a videotestsrc bug.
