Nope, AFAIK Bastien isn't particularly fond of that, to say the least.

There will be better error dialogs for unhandled formats though when the
automatic codec installation stuff gets fully implemented (so it says "Can't
play this stream because you're missing an XYZ decoder" rather than "Can't play
this stream because you're missing the appropriate decoder').
