Hi, thanks for all the detailed information. However, we're only really
interested in information about totem for our purposes, xine/mplayer/kaffeine
not so much :)

Open a terminal window (konsole, gnome-terminal, xterm, etc.), and type

  $ head --bytes=999k /path/to/movie.mpg > movie-start.mpg

(without the '$') that should give you the beginning of the file, which you
should then be able to attach to this bug report.

Those are command line commands. You need to open a terminal window (konsole,
gnome-terminal, xterm, etc.) and type those there, without the '$' at the
beginning. Thanks!
