------- Comment #3 from Thomas Zajic 2008-05-27 20:59 UTC -------
Also happens with current versions occasionally - the files in question are on
an NFS share on my file server in this case:

[zlatko at disclosure]:~$ stowes list gst.*10
Listing packages in /usr/local/stow matching [ gst.*10 ] (8 matches):
I GStreamer-0.10
I gst-ffmpeg-0.10.4
I gst-plugins-bad-0.10.7
I gst-plugins-base-0.10.19
I gst-plugins-good-0.10.8
I gst-plugins-ugly-0.10.8
I gst-python-0.10.11
I gstreamer-0.10.19
[zlatko at disclosure]:~$

The symptoms are the same as above, hanging after "Pipeline is PREROLLING ..."
until I interrupt it:

[zlatko at disclosure]:~$ gst-launch-0.10 --verbose playbin
uri=file:///home/zlatko/mp3/mp3/tiamat/the_sleeping_beauty__live_in_israel/01__in_a_dream.mp3
Setting pipeline to PAUSED ...
/playbin0/decodebin0/typefind.src: caps = application/x-id3
Pipeline is PREROLLING ...
^CCaught interrupt -- handling interrupt.
Interrupt: Stopping pipeline ...
ERROR: pipeline doesn't want to preroll.
Setting pipeline to NULL ...
/playbin0/decodebin0/wavparse0.src: caps = NULL
/playbin0/decodebin0/id3demux0.src: caps = NULL
/playbin0/decodebin0/typefind.src: caps = NULL
FREEING pipeline ...
[zlatko at disclosure]:~$

I'll attach the gzipped debug log as well.
