Could you run this (gmake V=1) in a debugger and get a stack trace of what
crashes where? Presumably one of the gobject-introspection tools? (In which
case I am not sure if we can do anything about this) What version of
gobject-introspection are you using?

Also, could you try git maybe, we changed the parameters the
gobject-introspection tools are called with a bit.
