I confirm that the DVD ("Desperate Housewives - season 4) is working with your
script.

Your hint prompted me to the cause of this issue. If you go back to comment 4
you will find the DVDFASTSTART environment parameter. This is set to "yes" as
default in Totem.

Setting this to "no" will solve the issue with "Desperate Housewives" as well
as the issue on "The Best of Diana Haddad". 

Perhaps it would be a good idea to disable the fast start behaviour for default
in Totem because as we see here it can cause problems which takes days of
debugging.
