Sorry this is taking so much time. I have retested it here with GStreamer 1.6
and master (Cairo 1.14.2), and still could not reproduce any of the reported
issues. This all seems like an external bug that happen to write in GStreamer
objects. At the same time, a lot of work has been done on the cairo based text
overlays (and was langed in 1.6). Maybe it's worth doing a test there. At best
we could bump from dependency version, or catch broken dependencies in our
build system ?
