I am now running under Centos 7.1, and I just tried again, and I can still
reproduce this error, even using gstreamer 1.6 and cairo 1.12.14-6.el7

Its not a serious bug, as I only ever encounter it in this test, but I do find
it mysterious.

Is there any tests I can do that might help track it down?
