Thx a lot David for the details.
Oe could try to rework -I and +Q for both RGB and YUV spaces. And for the long
run, maybe better to implement SMPTE HD and set it the default pattern in
gstvideotestsrc. (Too bad that David lost it)
But all of that is already implemented in ffmeg, so another approach is to wrap
the multiple video test sources in libavfilter:
(for a preview run: ffmpeg -f lavfi -i smptehdbars=duration=10 smptehdbars.mp4
, there is also smptebars, rgbtestsrc, yuvtestsrc, allrgb, allyuv).
