Hi
Has anyone used mad or libmad to decode/play mpeg audio? The descriptions
sounds good, and may work better than mpg123 and others.
"MAD is a high-quality MPEG audio decoder capable of 24-bit output. All
computations are performed with fixed-point integer arithmetic, making it
ideal for systems without a floating-point unit. The implementation is
entirely new, based on the ISO/IEC standards. The code consists of a
library (libmad), a command-line front-end (madplay), and a plug-in for
Winamp."
The URL is here:

Maybe its worth doing a GStreamer plugin for it, or approaching the author
to do one (and base madplay on GStreamer).
Regards
Zaheer
