Initial Comment:
Conditionally compiled files (such as
gst/gstmarshals.[ch]) are not being included in the
releases because there is no EXTRA_libgst_la_SOURCES
variable (which should always contain gstmarshals.c). 
Also, libgstinclude_HEADERS should always contain
gstmarshals.h, rather than $(GST_OBJECT_MODEL_HDR). I
haven't had a chance to look at other conditionally
built files, but it looks like other files may suffer
from the same bug.
