seems to be a good idea - at least to take a serious look into the
whole story. gstreamer is a really cool approach and has nice idea
as their base.

- on the other hand: i started this project to learn. learn more
about the core and how we could actually implement things - and i
guess we're still good for delivernig ideas to other projects :)

... nevertheless, i didn't start to make a full featured commercial
DVD player (this project will never be commercial - but probably by
incident full-featured :), so this is at least what i like to do:

write more on the codebase - make it simpler (this is my main goal),
add new features, and also push omi as a standalone runtime-self
reconfigurable interface.

- maybe my goals are selfish here, since a single project would for
sure benefit from united forces, but the other thing is that ideas
are still floating around, and when you think back to the beginning
of this projects, ideas are more mature today :)

... just my $0.02 - i'd like to work on oms again, and if someone
finds part of oms useful, he's more than welcome to take
them (look at the GPL headers ;)
