[gst-devel] unified sink plugin for all specific sink

Hi.
desktop-devel-list of gnome.org is heating up the gstreamer issue.
so I wanna make a fire gstreamer-devel here.

what's the relation between gst and monkey-media?

now gst does not provide unified sink plugin,
such monkey-media does for rhythmbox, AFAIK.

There are many sink plugins by ls -1 /usr/lib/gst/*sink*
aasink.so
artsdsink.so
esdsink.so
gnomevfssink.so
sdlvideosink.so
v4lmjpegsink.so
videosink.so
xvideosink.so

and I had to hardcode esdsink for my own gst-incarnate applet.
when gnome 2.2 replace esd with gst,
what shall I choose for sink element?

I think monkey-media-properties style preference is necessary
for the future of gst, with gnome 2.2 and later.
