Hi guys,

I did a half-assed branch today, but I'm going to do it over tomorrow 
probably.

This is just a heads-up that I'm going to branch for real tomorrow morning 
(which is probably about 12 hours after this mail), so it'd be nice if you 
wouldn't make all sorts of commits in that period.  Makes it a little 
easier to see what fixes are important and which aren't.

I'd also appreciate it if the ONLY thing that went into the RELEASE 
branches are actual bug fixes.  Not cosmetic changes, not unnecessary 
build stuff, and so on.

I'll fix any build bugs I might still encounter to the point where it 
builds completely, but not much more than that.

Anything that could be considered controversial should probably be 
discussed on IRC and the mailing list ;) I want to make this release as 
painless as possible.
