Sorry for being late in replying. Thanks a lot for
giving a reply as I am very keen to learn and
understand GStreamer architecture.

>You know we have packages for GStreamer for RH9 ?
Thomas, could you share those packages with me as I
have doubt on the packgaes which I have downloaded
from Internet. I request you to send me a list of
packages which needs to be required to work with
GStreamers along with gstreamer plugins.

>How do you compile this program ?
I am running make command in sample's respective
folder and then change directory to .libs and running
executable.

I started working with tarball and compiled the whole
source code and installed it. but again the samples
helloworld porgramm was not running and giving me an
error that "mad" plugin could not be found. So, I
downloaded various packages from Internet and
installed those rpm which were GStreamer-core and
GStreamer-plugins. So now, I have gstreamer libraries
in /usr/local/lib and /usr/lib also.

I have 0.6 and 0.8 both version and one is from
tarball and other is from rpms. Thomas, could you tell
me that what contents registry.xml should have in it ?

Thomas, I hope that you will guide me to learn
GStreamer as I am novice to this.

Thanks & Regards
Dinesh
