It'd be nice if - next time - you could actually discuss this with the
GStreamer maintainers instead of the Rhythmbox maintainers. It's their
suggestion. But it's our code.

I don't object, I know it's needed. But I do think it's ugly and we need
a better fix long-term. I'll think about that some other time.
