I am in favour of releasing core and base together. The other packages
only need a release if significant changes have been made.

Everything has pro's and cons, I personally test more during the week. I
should probably put a little script together, which would fetch the
latest prerelease, untar, build with my favourite options and run tests.
That would ease the manual work involved.

Apart I feel a bit lost about our current roadmap. Means I miss Andys
'GStreamer summay'. Wouldn't it be good to set some dates and goals?
I guess eveybody has sort of such a list in mind.
