Just out of curiosity:

How is that going to work given the GLib/Gtk 2.8 release schedule?

  http://www.gtk.org/plan/2.8/

points towards a GLib-2.8 release at the beginning of August, and I was under
the impression that Wim's GObject thread-safety fixes were a requirement for
0.9/0.10.

Those fixes, however, seem to have a target milestone of GLib 2.8 according to

  http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=166020

which means that our 0.10 stable releases won't make it into distros for at
least 2 months if everybody stays on schedule ...

Is that part of the plan, or did you just set ambitious targets to accommodate
unexpected delays and the time it takes to port plugins?

Cheers
