Totem uses whatever the backend provides.  GStreamer does not depend on
GNOME, but uses elements that may link to external libs. Cdparanoia for
CDDA, libdvdread/libdvdnav for DVDs and we have our own VCD/SVCD reader
element (vcdsrc).
