hi,
   When i go to definiton of this function 

gst_plugin_feature_get_type()the debugger points to


G_DEFINE_ABSTRACT_TYPE (GstPluginFeature,
gst_plugin_feature, GST_TYPE_OBJECT);

Iam not able to ascertain what exactly this function 

and the macro does...please tell me what exactly this 

function does...
