DVD has never worked with 0.8.11 on fedora core.
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=320162 is one of the bugs related to that.
Apparently it worked fine with 0.8.10

I've had a hard time testing because my laptop has a really unstable dvd drive.

Historically, doing a prerelease works better if you do it after you've
done all changes you plan to make.  Fixing various bugs between
prereleases just invalidates all of the prerelease testing you've gotten
from people.  So I'd recommend first fixing what you think still needs
fixing, or what people suggest.  Just my 2 cents.

If you let me know when the prerelease is done, I can build packages and
hopefully get some livna people to try out dvd for you.
