[gst-devel] gst-plugins : build problem

Hi All,

I am unable to install gst-plugins-0.8.12 from source. 
It gives the following error and stops.
	"Checking for gstreamer-0.8 >= 0.8.11.1... configure: error: no
GStreamer found"

However, I could install gstreamer, gst-plugins-base and gst-plugins-good
without any problem (ver 0.10.14).

The required paths are set to
PKG_CONFIG_PATH=/usr/local/lib/pkgconfig:/usr/lib/pkgconfig 
and 
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/lib

Can someone please let me know what could be wrong?
