[gst-devel] what hangs get_state?

I built a select-based timer to check my pipeline, since the glib timer
and idle are not being called (program number and/or elementary stream
IDs not in stream), and now my callbacks are hanging in
gst_element_get_state().  This may have been true all along.

With dvbsrc (or filesrc), mpegtsdemux, queue, and filesink in the
pipeline, how can gst_element_get_state hang?
