That's a good question, it should really work.
Do you still have gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly and
gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad installed? Do you have for
example /usr/lib/gstreamer-0.10/libgstmad.so ?
Could you send me the file created by (all in one line)
GST_DEBUG=GST_REGISTRY:4 GST_DEBUG_NO_COLOR=1
gst-inspect-0.10 /usr/lib/gstreamer-0.10/libgstmad.so
&> log
