Possible to convert x-raw-gray to x-raw-bayer?

Hello,

I'm having trouble decoding the video I'm getting off a Firefly MV.  The
camera outputs bayer, but the dc1394 plugin interpret those images as
x-raw-gray.  I want to convert this to rgb using bayer2rgb, which requires
x-raw-bayer input.  Is it possible to force gstreamer to interpret the
x-raw-gray image as x-raw-bayer instead?
