Setting packet size for g711u codec

I need to set packet size to a certain value for the  g711ulaw codec. 
Currently it shows 10ms all the time. How can (or where can)  I change 
it? Was looking at gstbasertpaudiopayload.c that has a functions to set 
frame options (or sample options) but not sure if this is right place. 
Any help/insights are very much appreciated.
