I am now able to record my A/V to an AVI file. Many thanks for your help.
I thought I would try to record in a different format with more
compression, so I attempted to follow the example supplied in the
description of mp4mux. That example uses x264enc - but when I attempted
to call it, I got a message
erroneous pipeline: no element "x264enc"
Obviously the system cannot find x264enc - so where would I find it?
