Mediaplayer does not resume after pause when video sink is linked

Some more info :

When looked at logs :

On PLAY : all elements goes from null state to playing except video sink.
When tried to Pause :
Video sink is the tries to go from null to ready and ready to paused. and
gets stuck there. Not sure why video sink didnt go from null to ready to
playing when PLAY was called.
