Clarification sought over GStreamer Documentation

Hi,
                I have read Gstreamer document, I have few doubts on that.. please make some time to clarify this:
                Can an element have any number of source and pads?
                I have an element1 which has src1 and src2, and element2 has sink1 and sink 2. Now I want to link src1->sink1    and src2->sink2.
                Please help me how to do that.
