Alright. I think I got my head on straight now Sebastian. I originally
thought you meant it might be easier to rebuild the whole SDK including
the GL plugins, so I went ahead and downloaded and installed all the
required dependancies mentioned on the cerbero page. However, if
rebuilding the GStreamer SDK is not really necessary, and it's not
insurmountable to just build the GL plugins and use them with the
current SDK binaries I have, I'm going to aim for that.

At this juncture I should mention that I appreciate the offer LRN - but
currently it seems like I'm better off just trying to get things working
with the countless tools I now have installed, rather than 'jump ship'
again :E Trust me - I want this to work as fast as possible as well, but
I'll have to exercise patience. I hope you guys don't mind holding my
hand a little longer while I apply my best abilities to try and get this
stuff compiled?

So just to recap, I now have installed:

MinGw, MSys, Git, CMake, Yasm, Wix, Windows SDK 7.1, Windows Driver Kit
(7.1.0) - essentially all the required libs for the Cerbero build.

In my attempt to just get the plug ins compiled I've achieved the
following! Cloning the GL plug ins from here:

git clone git://anongit.freedesktop.org/gstreamer/gst-plugins-gl

I wasn't sure how to then build stuff, but I recall LRN mentioning
something about autogen, so I went ahead with trying that. Executing
'autogen.sh' - pointed out I was missing 'autopoint'. I had a hard time
figuring out exactly which package to get via the mingw package manager.
Is there anyway of figuring out what 'autopoint' could be a part of? The
only way I managed was by googling it and finding something about issues
with the 'gettext' package, so I tried installing the mingw version of
it (after reading that installing the msys version leads to msys DLL
dependencies?). There seemed to have been some package conflicts as not
all of the dependencies were extracted - perhaps due to existing
versions? I have absolutely no idea where I should be begin to resolve
that. Anyway, autopoint now seemed to exist in MSys so I continued on...

Executing 'autogen.sh' now throws the following error at me:

+ running autopoint --force ...
autopoint: *** Missing version: please specify in configure.ac through a
line 'AM_GNU_GETTEXT_VERSION(x.yy.zz)' the gettext version the package
is using autopoint: *** Stop.

I've googled the error message and cannot figure out if it's because the
script actually needs tweaking, or because perhaps the package conflicts
is causing me grief? Any thoughts?

Regards,
Gazoo
