How to "mux" meta ( telemtry ) data ?

Hi

What is the best way mux meta data ( like timed text, gps, telemetry data )
?
Example code ?

It would be nice if it's a solution that also works with any kind of muxed
audio/video ( meaning the meta-data is independent of audio/video formats )

Lots of people use gstreamer+raspicam to send live video from UAV, currently
all projects I've seen so far use a separate UDP channel for telemtry data.
I think it would be nice to send it all muxed and synchronized in to one
RTP-stream.
