why appsrc can not be linked directly to qtdemux?

Thank you very much for your prety fast reply. did you mean  that (appsrc !
qtdemux) will not work?  My target is to send the NALU with rtph264pay .
could you give me a pipeline that may work? maybe (appsrc ! h264parse) ?
