Getting the real time instant when a particular event occurred in a live rtsp stream

Hi,

I have a pipeline that detects motion in a live rtsp stream and records it
as events in a DB. Now I want to record the exact time when it happened.

Heard RTSP protocol has something of a time data related to NTP.

Could anybody put light on how to extract the exact live time of an event
that occurs.
