adding patch to gstreamer source

Hi,

I am trying to add below patch to gstreamer source (gstreamer-1.2.3)
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=721289.

I have updated code gstpad.c/h files and compiled the code and installed. 

During run time function related (gst_pad_unblock) to the patch causing
below error.
symbol lookup error: /home/cctv/workspace/RecordingTest/Debug/RecordingTest:
undefined symbol: gst_pad_unblock.

Do i need to run some script to update the symbol lookup.? I am sure i have
update both source and header files and compiled successfully.

Can some one help me in including the patch..
