Decklink sink displays only black

Hi, I have compiled the latest git master plugins-bad in the hope of using
Blackmagic Decklink cards in my application.  The only output I get is black
video in whatever mode I set it to, using either videotestsrc or filesrc.  I
have tried inserting videoconvert, videoscale, interlace and videorate in
various combinations but the result is the same.  The Blackmagic supplied
media utility works for capture and playback flawlessly on my Ubuntu 13.10
64 install.  Does anyone have a working pipeline I could try to work though
the issues?  I only have access to Decklink SDI cards but am willing to do
any tests for those without the hardware.
