5-second View of a still image? Would videosegmentclip help?

I have a simple need to show a still image for 5-seconds, and I would like
to be able to do so via gst-launch-1.0

The gstreamer default for a static image seems to be to show it for one
frame. I can extend this indefinitely by using imagefreeze, but I only want
a 5-second segment. I assumed that maybe videosegmentclip would help with
this, but even after reading its source code I cannot figure out what it
actually does, or how to make it do anything.
