Sorry for the long delay in responding. Yes, it also happened on non-thin
client systems. We eventually tracked it down to a leak in vaapidecode
which we have since patched.

At this point we have a greatly divergent set of vaapi elements which seem
to work better than the ones in the git repository. At some point we really
do need to clean ours up and submit patches.
