[SOLVED] Configuration issues while cross-compiling sample plugin gst-0.10

Setting the following variable to point to correct directory created by Yocto
, fixed the issue.
$PKG_CONFIG_PATH 
/Data/yocto/fsl-arm-yocto-bsp/build-fb/tmp/sysroots/imx6qsabresd/usr/lib/pkgconfig
