can Element-1 query Element-2's src pad, where Element-2 is down the pipeline compared to Element-1

Dear All,

Referring the below example,

example pipeline:
----------------
[src()]---->[sink() Element-1 src()]----->[sink() Element-x 
src()]---->[sink() Element-2 src()]---->[sink()]

Is it possible to custom query Element-2's src pad from Element-1's src pad,
were the Element-2 is down the pipeline compared to Element-1. 
If possible, what are all the ways it can be done.
