Trick play support while streaming

I have developed a MP4 demuxer based on qtdemux. While streaming with source
as souphttpsrc, I am trying to send a seek event to the src with rate
negative (-1) for fast rewind. But the seek event pads push is returning
FALSE and the pipeline hangs. Is there any way of sending the seek event to
the souphttpsrc for negative rates? Can anyone please help me out?
