gst-rtsp-server streaming from tcpclientsink problems

Hi, I’m using gst-rtsp-server-1.4.4

I’m trying to test the following:

gst-launch-1.0 -vv  videotestsrc ! x264enc ! tcpserversink
./test-launch "( tcpclientsrc ! rtph264pay name=pay0 pt=96 )”

however connecting to the stream gives an error 503.

The example however works fine as it should:
./test-launch "( videotestsrc ! x264enc ! rtph264pay name=pay0 pt=96 )”

I really don’t understand how they are different.
