is it possible to add another src pad in GstBaseSrc class?

I am also not aware of the design behind the Ladybug cameras. But if we would
have have a single fd produceing images from all six sources, from my point
of view the best approach would be:
- create a source element with one single source-pad producing a "multiplex
image stream"
- and create a demux element for this multiplex to split into multiple
single image streams
