16-bit YUV format support with gstreamer-1.0

Hi,

Gstreamer video formats (as listed at
https://developer.gnome.org/gst-plugins-libs/stable/gst-plugins-base-libs-gstvideo.html)
only have support till 10-bit YUV.

Are there any future plans to officially add deeper-than-8/10-bit YUV format
support to the gstreamer plugins?

We intend to support  “P016” YUV format (Planar, 4:2:0, 16-bit) with
gstreamer plugins.
