Pad Removed in general

Hi,
     I wanted to know few things in General about a pad-removed callback.

1. Can I get the caps on the incoming pad (directly
gst_pad_get_current_caps).
2. If the caps are NULL, then what could be the reason.
3. If the caps are ANY, then how to handle this case.

How to handle the case where we get caps as NULL in pad-removed callbacks.
Adding a caps_notification might not be the right idea.

Any Suggestions !!
