Gstreamer 1.12 snapshots

Ahh bummer, but thank you for the quick response.  Can I use the gst-python library to grab the snapshot?  I'm a little familiar with that, although the extent of my usage hasn't gone too far beyond the standard abilities of gst-launch-1.0.

No, it's unrelated to gst-launch-1.0. It's new API in GstPlayer that allows to programatically get a image of the current video frame.
