1.16.2 → 1.18.0 upgrade on Debian Sid breaks Me TV

Hi,

The recent GStreamer upgrade from 1.16.2 → 1.18.0 has left Me TV unable to
render Freeview (DVB-T) in the UK on Debian Sid. This is not just me, I have a
bug report from someone else!

Clearly I can report a GST_DEBUG=4 (or some other number) somewhere, but will
someone be willing and able to give me some advice as to how to fix what has
to be seen as a breaking change.
